Many thanks to those of you who helped pick out which of my pictures to submit to the Virginia Beach Winter Wildlife Festival’s photo contest! One of my pictures, for Landscape/Scenic, was given Honorable Mention. Since there’s only one (1) Winner and one (1) Honorable Mention in each category, I am consoling myself by telling myself that it’s really 2nd Place.
Here is the (almost) winning picture:
All of the winning photos can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14waazLHrA/.
So what did I win, you ask? My photo will be printed out on canvas and displayed at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library during the month of March and, apparently, a ribbon. There are also bragging rights associated with such an honor (which the Missus will tell you I take full advantage of, much to her chagrin).
But I do have to admit that my decades-long streak of 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and Honorable Mention ribbons just tells me that I’m almost a good photographer. Almost.
Here are the other photos I submitted:
Thanks again for everybody’s help!
